How to Set Up Advisor Access

Last updated on July 30, 2025

Assuming you are an iJoin system administrator, manually setting up advisers within ACT is easy.

  1. From the iJoin ACT homepage, go to the settings tab on the left hand side navigation menu.
  2. Select users from the settings options and click create new user.
  3. Populate all contact details of the user including name, a URL for the desired headshot to be displayed for the adviser, email address, phone number, desired username to be displayed, and password.
    1. You will be responsible for disseminating the initial credentials to the users, but they will be able to change these values upon their first login.
  4. Next, you must determine the user permissions and security settings.
    1. Determine if the user should be an iJoin system administrator. This will grant them special privileges within the portal.
    2. Next, select if two factor authentication should be turned on or not.
    3. The setting for viewing sensitive data will determine if the user has visibility into private reports and sensitive information.
  5. Next, you must assign permissions specifically relating to ACT. These permissions include the ability to create email campaigns, edit email or campaign messages, run reports, and enable the ability to prospect IRA candidates.
  6. The last step is to assign the plan associations to the user. These are the plans and data to which the adviser user will have access.
  7. Click save.

The user is now created.

In addition to the manual process outlined here, bulk user creation is also possible through a spreadsheet upload template.
